The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Rev 1_7 of the 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement including new Compliance Rules is now available. The new Compliance Rules were revised in the four areas listed below:
(1) removal of watermark detection and response requirements;
(2) removal of the concept of “SDMI compliance” and the related “CPRM Restricted Product”;
(3) removal of the sunset requirement for IEC 958 outputs; and
(4) setting of a December 31, 2010 sunset requirement for DVI outputs of video content recorded using CPRM.
Current 4C CPRM/CPPM Licensees should print the new Compliance Rules and keep them with their company’s executed license.

The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Version 1.6 of the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement including Authorized Use #4: Navigation Devices, is now available. Specifically, Authorized Use #4 consists of the use of the SD-Binding Technology in Navigation Devices (i.e. devices that store and playback Commercial Navigation Content) in accordance with applicable Compliance Rules.

4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce the availability of a new license addendum to its basic CPRM/CPPM License Agreement. This new addendum permits the manufacture and distribution of a Verification Test Tool, for use to ensure that products are functioning properly. The Verification Test Tool is required to be treated as if it were a Licensed Component, including that it may be distributed only to other Adopters and then only those Adopters that have either signed the Verification Test Tool Addendum or have signed the special form acknowledgment that is attached to the addendum.

The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that the CPRM Specification, SD Memory Card Book, SD-SD Part, Revision 0.92 is now available. The new revision incorporates clarifications of usage rules based on date and time and some changes related to the update of SD Association's specifications.
