The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that CPRM Specification, SD Memory Card Book, SD-SD Part, Revision 0.91 is now available. The new revision incorporates usage rules based on date and time, both of which were previously supported in the 4C Specification material for CPRM for SD-Audio revision 0.97. The rules require three types of clock function modalities to define previewing and recording rules for devices.

CPRM/CPPM Specification
The CPRM/CPPM Specification defines a renewable cryptographic method for protecting entertainment content when recorded on physical media.

4C/Verance Watermark
CPPM adopters are required to build the Verance watermark detector into their products. The CPPM license allows content participants to embed the Verance watermark if they choose. The SDMI Phase I or DVD Audio Watermark Technology License Procedure is available online in the Licensing Area of the Web site.

4C 12 BIT Watermark Specification
This specification covers the format configuration, timing, and other details--including the basic detector function--of the 4C 12 Bit Watermark. It conveys Copy Control Information (CCI) ad other important data.

Content Protection System Architecture (CPSA)
CPRM and CPPM fit into a larger formal architecture: the Content Protection System Architecture (CPSA). Click here to download the CPSA white paper, "Content Protection System Architecture: A Comprehensive Framework for Content Protection.” CPSA defines a comprehensive and efficient framework that makes it possible to integrate major existing content protection technologies. It is applicable to both computer and consumer electronics devices, as well as to audio and video content in either analog or digital formats.
