· June 20, 2005 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that CPRM Specification, SD Memory Card Book, SD-Video Part, Revision 0.94 is now available. The revisions extend usage rules to incorporate rules based on date, time and playback counts. These revisions are the result of general on-going review of our usage rules based on comments from Founders, Adopters, Content Participants and others. Further changes may be anticipated as additional comments and developments warrant.
· June 3, 2005 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Version 1.3a of the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement including revised Authorized Use #3: Specific Content Provider Bound Content Players, is now available. Specifically, Authorized Use #3 consists of the use of the SD-Binding Technology in Specific Content Provider Bound Content Players (i.e. devices that store and playback audio, video and game content) in accordance with applicable Compliance Rules.
· November 4, 2004 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Version 1.3 of the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement including Authorized Use #3: Specific Content Provider Bound Content Players, is now available. Specifically, Authorized Use #3 consists of the use of the SD-Binding Technology in Specific Content Provider Bound Content Players (i.e. devices that store and playback audio, video and game content) in accordance with applicable Compliance Rules.
· September 2, 2004 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Version 1.2 of the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement including Authorized Use #2: Authorized Commercial Content Player, is now available. Specifically, Authorized Use #2 consists of the use of the SD-Binding Technology in Authorized Commercial Content Players (i.e. devices that store and playback audio, video and e-book content) in accordance with applicable Compliance Rules.
· August 17, 2004 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that Version 1.1 of the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement includes a modified Exhibit D-2, which provides the Compliance Rules for Authorized Use #1: Mobile Phones. Specifically, these Compliance Rules have been updated to allow a service provider to output Authorized Edited Content, which consists of Commercial Content edited by the user with the permission of the applicable copyright holders.
· July 6, 2004 - The 4C Entity,LLC is making available the new 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement Ver. 1.1j for the manufacturing and selling of products implementing the new video compliance rules. The revisions are the result of general on-going review of our rules based on comments from Adopters, Content Participants and others. Further changes may be anticipated as additional comments and developments warrant.

· May 2, 2004 - Notice to Adopters
4C Entity is making available SD Binding Development Device Keys and MKB’s, prior to signing a CPRM FOR SD-BINDING LICENSE AGREEMENT, on a limited time basis*, subject to the following requirements:
· Licensee company must be a current 4C CPRM/CPPM licensed Adopter in good standing
· Adopter letter must affirm that Adopter agrees to be bound to the terms and conditions of the CPRM FOR SD-BINDING LICENSE AGREEMENT prior to the execution of the CPRM FOR SD-BINDING LICENSE AGREEMENT
· Adopter must provide a letter affirming that the Adopter will provide 4C Entity with an executed CPRM FOR SD-BINDING LICENSE AGREEMENT within 90 days from the date of placing an SD Binding Development order

· April 21, 2004 - The 4C Entity, LLC Pursuant to section 4.4 of the CPRM/CPPM Adopter Agreement, a triennial adjustment in Unit Fees is required to reflect changes in the Producer Price Index (PPI). The applicable PPI adjustment for this triennial period is an increase of 4.3%, and that increase was to be effective April 15, 2004.
While this increase is automatic under the Agreement, 4C Entity, LLC has decided to take the necessary action to keep Unit Fees at the same levels as previously charged. Accordingly, there will be no increase in Unit Fees effective April 15, 2004.
4C will continue to review such triennial Unit Fee adjustments on a case-by-case basis.
· January 28, 2004 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that the CPRM For SD-Binding License Agreement is now available for SD-Binding. 4C Licensees may obtain Device Keys for manufacturing and selling products implementing the SD-Binding Robustness Rules and SD-Binding Compliance Rules for SD-Binding Authorized Use. Any 4C Licensee desiring to obtain such keys should contact a 4C license administrator.

· December 1, 2003 - 4C Entity, LLC hereby informs Adopters and other interested parties that it intends to adopt new CPPM Compliance Rules for DVD Audio, The proposed new Rules are posted for review, and are expected to be finalized by the end of 2003. In the meantime, 4C has authorized content companies and replicators to use the new bit settings contained in the posted document for content that will be released prior to the finalization of the entire document..
· July 29, 2003 - The 4C Entity, LLC is making available the new 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement Ver. 1.1i for the manufacturing and selling products implementing the Specification for Limited Resolution Video Recorders and new compliance rules for standard resolution CPRM licensed video recorders.
· June 12, 2003 - The 4C Entity, LLC is pleased to announce that the 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement is now available for SD-Video. 4C Licensees may obtain Production Keys for manufacturing and selling products implementing the Specification for Limited Resolution Video Recorders. Any 4C Licensee desiring to obtain such keys should contact a 4C license administrator.
· For your convenience, 4C is providing this web link to the CPRM Compliance Rules for Recording and Playback of Standard Definition Video Content and the CPRM Compliance Rules for Recording and Playback of Video Content by Limited Resolution video recorders. Please note that these Compliance Rules will be changed in the future to harmonize with CPRM Compliance Rules.
· June 4, 2002 - The 4C Entity, LLC has released two statements pertaining to the 4C Audio Compliance Rules and Evaluation/Development Licensees. Copies of the Suspension of Certain 4C Audio Compliance Rule Obligations and Notice to Evaluation/Development Licensees are provided for your review.
· April 25, 2002 - The 4C Entity, LLC has announced changes to the fee schedule for the 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement to take effect on May 8, 2002. The changes in the fee schedule were announced in a letter dated April 5, 2002. A copy of the letter is provided for your review.
· May 04, 2001 - Now Available - The Compliance and Robustness Rules can be downloaded with the 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement.
· April 03, 2001 - A read-only version of the final 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement, which includes a Development use provision, is now available. This new license replaces both the 4C Interim CPRM/CPPM License Agreement and the Development Key Evaluation Agreement. The Compliance and Robustness Rules will be posted at a later date. The license is for use by both potential licensees wishing to begin using the CPRM/CPPM technology and current licensees who have already executed either the Interim CPRM/CPPM License Agreement or Development Key Evaluation Agreement.
All current licensees wishing to continue using the CPRM/CPPM technology must execute the new 4C CPRM/CPPM License Agreement by April 30, 2001.
· December 18, 2000 - The 4C Entity, LLC has extended the CPRM / CPPM Development Key Evaluation Agreement. This agreement is valid through, and can be executed through Februry 28, 2001 and the Development Keys and MKB's can be used until March 30, 2001.
The 4C Entity, LLC has also extended the interim CPRM / CPPM Adopters Agreement. This agreement is valid through, and can be executed through February 28, 2001 and Production Keys and MKB's can be ordered through this agreement.
· October 20, 2000 - The 4C Entity, LLC has posted a new CPRM for DVD specifications version 0.94. This version describes CPRM for DVD-RAM, for DVD-R, and for DVD-RW. A new ordering form has be posted in the interim CPRM / CPPM Adopters Agreement area titled CPRM / CPPM Ordering Forms.
· July 24, 2000 - An Acrobat read-only version of the interim version of the Adopters Agreement and associated documents are available. This interim Adopters Agreement will allow adopters to manufacture products using CPRM / CPPM Technologies. See the Licensing Area of the website for more information.
· June 28, 2000 - The 4C Entity, LLC has extended the CPRM / CPPM Development Key Evaluation Agreement. This agreement can now be executed through October 1, 2000 and the Development Keys and MKB's can be used until November 1, 2000.
If you currently have a fully executed Development Agreement that expires on July 1, 2000 and we have not contacted you by July 1, 2000 please contact us. We will assist you with the process of extending your current
agreement.
